Maddie will be a student/athlete beginning Fall 2024. The Boosters support all athletic programs at Newport High School. They have also funded the purchase of bleachers and volleyball standards for the new gym at Yaquina View Elementary where Mark's wife, Kristin, is the principal. Beyond athletics, during COVID, the Newport Boosters provided gift cards to all 4 Newport schools for families experiencing food insecurity. Their mission is supporting athletics but they are community minded and extend their support to children of all ages.

Mark's amazing pulmonologist is also an associate professor for the school of medicine at OHSU. We want to support the development of future pulmonologists.
The care and compassion of his pulmonologist as well as the medical ICU team was phenomenal. Their care extended to Kristin and Maddie, too.

Our local hospital was another part of Mark's ongoing medical care from his primary care to his most recent hospitalization. The ICU team not only took excellent care of Mark – they also attended to Kristin's emotional needs during his hospitalization in Newport.
