Mark Anthony Bigby

Mark Anthony Bigby was born on August 24, 1959 to Willie James and Mattie Mae Bigby. Mark was the second oldest of seven children. He was a graduate of Pendleton High School. He was a E-7 Gunnery Sergeant, a Rifle Marksman and Pistol Marksman in the U.S. Marines. Mark was a trucker by career and an avid biker in his leisure time. Mark was also a very charismatic person. Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was the true definition of s family man. His departure was untimely and hurtful, but he would always say, "Live for today, because tomorrow is never promised." If you knew him, you could never forget him. He would leave mark on you that would last a lifetime.
Mark leaves to cherish his loving memories, wife; Priscilla Bigby, his father; Mr. Willie James Bigby, his brother; Larry Bigby, his sisters; Sonia Bigby, Deborah (Pete) Mcintyre, Tammy (Jack) Watson and Alisha Bigby. His children, Matthew (Jachovia) Bigby, Marcus Bigby, Constance Young, Tavares(Kathy) Land, Chris Land, Cruz Land. Grandchildren;Journyi Bigby, O'Brian Collins Jr., Kody(Shannon) Land, Jonathan, Tyler, Dontay, Zachary, Jacob, Kayla Ariana Land, Great-grand daughter; Kayla Land. One special Mother-In-Love; Mrs. Betty Land, Sister-In-Love; Harriet Cade, Brother-In-Law; Harrison Land Jr., and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Bigby, his sister; Frances Kemp, his Sister-In-Love; Juanita Womack, a nephew Lawrence Underwood, great grandmother; Birdie Jones Bigby, grandmothers; Sadie Bigby, Heneritta Bigby and grandfather; Matthew Bigby.
The funeral service for Mr. Bigby will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 12:30 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson. Internment will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
