Mark Anthany Bittner of Collinsville passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of 58. Mark was born on May 10, 1963, to Jerry and Carol (Chub) Bittner in Fostoria, OH. He met Stephanie Robinson in Gardner, KS. They later married and started their life together. They moved to the Collinsville area over 20 years ago. Mark was a carpenter and also a custodian at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Mark was a fan of baseball and even coached his son's and grandson's baseball teams. He also enjoyed hunting. One of Mark's favorite activities was refurbishing silver. He would find pieces in antique shops or thrift stores and polish them until they were restored back to their original shine. Mark was a special person who was taken too soon. He will be missed by those who loved and knew him.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Bittner of the home; his children, Jamie McGarrah, Mickey Bittner, Toby Bittner, and Cody Bittner; his siblings, Charlene Bowman, Matt Bittner, Nora Culver, Gerald Bittner, Connie Conrad, and Juanita Williams; 5 grandchildren, McKayla McGarrah, Connor Anthony Scott McGarrah, Cadyn Patrick McGarrah, Rider Alan Hall, Gracelynn Faith Squori. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Carol Bittner.
Visitation for Mark will be held from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
