I spent many happy hours talking politics and history with my always entertaining and interesting neighbor. I miss you Mark.

A special moment, (and there were many), with Mark would be this. After receiving my Senior Athletic Letter Jacket at Andrews High School, Andrews, Indiana, i went to speak with Mark and told him that i would not be playing basketball my Senior year. He asked me why i made that decision and i told him. THEN, Mark said, "Rodney, I want you to play." That little bit of encouragement caused me to change my mind and i played. Mark was my coach, (baseball, basketball and track), during my Junior and Senior years of H.S. He was a great coach and teacher. Mark and Charlie's parents pastored the Methodist Church in which i was raised in Andrews. I had known Mark, Charlie and their parents since i was about five years old. I used to speak with Mark on the phone periodically...and i would visit Charlie at his Ford Dealership in Warren....and i purchased my first car (2015 Ford Focus) just a few months before Charlie passed away. I saw Mark and Judy at Charlie's funeral and i have visited Charlie's widow a number of times. Once, around seven or eight years ago Mark and i were speaking on the phone, AND he told me that he would be playing golf at Arbor Trace (near Marion, Indiana) in a week or so. I went to the Golf Course on that day. Someone said that Mark was on the first green and then said go ahead and drive cart out there. I met up with Mark and some of his friends on the first green and had a blessed but short reunion with him. That was the first time that i had seen Mark since i graduated from Andrews High School in 1965. God Bless Mark and his whole family. I am sorry for your loss. I lOOk forward to seeing Coach/Teacher Crain in Heaven someday soon.
Heaven someday soon.
