Mark Vincent Edwards

Mark Vincent Edwards, 68, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born on December 20, 1957 in Knoxville, TN. He was the son of the late Harold Eugene Edwards and Lucy Karen West Edwards.

Mark grew up in Temple Terrace, Florida. He graduated from C. Leon King High School and then went on to the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. Mark began his professional career at Marathon Oil near New Orleans, Louisiana, before relocating to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1987. He spent 27 years as a Linear Programming Engineer, making significant contributions to the oil industry while working with Citgo Oil Company. He retired from Citgo in 2014 and moved back to Florida to be closer to his family.

Mark's early years were marked by a passion for baseball and motorcycles. He was a baseball pitcher for the Temple Terrace Little League on the Merchants team, even earning a spot on the all-star team. He embraced the thrill of riding dirt bikes with his best friend Curtis Hutto during his teenage years. At the university, Mark taught himself to play the guitar, amassing a notable collection of musical instruments that brought him joy throughout his life. In retirement, he enjoyed many motorcycle rides with his brother, Roger Edwards and the BMW Riders of Tampa Bay.

Mark is survived by his sister, Linda Edwards Walsh (Peter); sister-in-law, Suzanne Edwards; nephews, Sean Walsh (Brittani), Brian Walsh, and Hayden Edwards; nieces, Mattie Edwards and Finn Edwards.

Mark is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Lee Edwards.

Mark was a loving brother. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

We will celebrate Mark's life on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at John Chesnut Sr. Park (shelter 10), 2200 Eastlake Road South, Palm Harbor, Florida at 12:00 pm. Dress casual. A picnic lunch will be provided.
