Marcus Allen Eskew, Sr., age 57, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at home.
Born June 20, 1967, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Paul Hamilton Eskew and Joy Ann Ford. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Ben Ford; two brothers, William Eskew and Mark Ford.
Mark was a graduate of Westside High School and served as a firefighter for many years with Piercetown and Homeland Park Volunteer Fire Departments. He worked for Bosch for 28 years. He loved to make people laugh and would do anything for anyone who needed it. He was loved by many, and all were touched by his kindness and selflessness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Hudgens Eskew; daughter, Whitney Eskew; son, Marcus Allen Eskew, Jr.; granddaughters, Arianna Wallen and Ireland Eskew; sisters, Crystal Tarbuck (Greg), Paula Eskew Hill, and Dana Frank (Rick); brother, Thomas Eskew; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Silvey officiating. Burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
