Mark Allen Foley, 67, of Henrietta, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born on January 11, 1958, in Independence, MO, the son of Arvil Earl "Sparky" and Margaret Etta (Reynolds) Foley. He was united in marriage to Sally Ann Shroyer of Lexington on September 10, 2011; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: three daughters: Kendearly (Tim) Dye of Holt, Marketta Foley of Gardner, KS, and Jennifer (Travis) Stanwinski of Lexington; 10 grandchildren, Chris Foley, DJ Fischer, Mikey Tanner, Allison Dye, Zach Dye, Mara Foley, Katie Cary, Aubree Brose, Emily Stanwinski, and Gretchen Stanwinski.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Michael David Foley, infant granddaughter, Journey Faith Foley, and two sisters, Marsha Acree and one in infancy.

Mark was raised and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Hardin Central High School in 1976. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1977 to 1981. Following his active-duty service, he continued his commitment to the military through the National Guard and the Air Force Reserves.

Mark's expertise was in metalworking, auto repair, and mechanics. Locally, he worked as a truck driver and mechanic for Green Quarries. Throughout his life, Mark also spent time living in Kentucky and Michigan and had traveled to most of the lower 48 states.

He was dedicated to his community, serving as the Mayor of Henrietta and as an active member of the American Legion Post #237, where he proudly served as Post Commander for ten years.

Above all, Mark was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He especially enjoyed fishing, snagging, and camping. He cherished the time spent outdoors with his family and especially time spent at the lake.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mark Foley Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
