My cousin Mark passed away one week ago today. I have thought of him frequently since then. Calling hours and his last alarm firefighter service took place today. I was unable to travel to Ohio to honor him, but I was with the family in prayer and in spirit.
Mark was one of a kind. I have never known a man more loving, caring, and compassionate. His love for his Heavenly Father knew no boundaries. The same held true of his love for his parents, wife, children, and grandchildren. They were so close...a true testament to the family unit. So too was his love for his extended family, including me. While we have had infrequent contact since I moved out of Ohio, we remained in touch. It was always special when one or the other reached out. Our connection never wavered. He was a special guy, and I will miss him.
My heart goes out to Patti, Aunt Shirley, and his children and grandchildren. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

The Garbers were one of the first families I met when I started working at the Greentown Post Office over ten years ago. I´ve had the privilege to get to know three generations and every member of the family has a place in my heart . My prayers go out to all of you as you adapt to another loss in your family . Thanks be to God our Father you will all be together again in His house . His blessings and comfort be yours.
