Mark Pingree Hadlock, 70, of Layton, Utah passed away at home on March 24, 2025, after his long, hard battle with cancer ended.

Mark leaves behind his wife of 46 years Pamela Hadlock and his children: Daniel Hadlock (Jenn Lee) of Roosevelt, Utah; Elizabeth Butler (Travs) of Acworth, Georgia; Marcus Hadlock of Layton, Utah; Laura McGahee (Justin) of Logan, Utah; Matthew Hadlock of Forest Park, Georgia; Zac Hadlock (Rachel) of Buford, Georgia and 19 grandchildren. Also, his brother Jeff Hadlock (Judy) of Whidbey Island, Washington and sister-in-law Lori Hadlock. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Donna Hadlock and two brothers Craig Hadlock and Todd Hadlock.

Mark’s 28-year career as an Executive Manager in Communications for the United Postal Service moved his family from Utah to California to Georgia and finally to New Jersey where they made friends that became family. After retirement from UPS, he worked in Risk Management for the Salt Lake City Corporation. Mark graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities. He served a two-year mission in London England. At the time of his death, he was a primary teacher in the Layton Second Ward.

Mark loved his family and had dreams of watching his children and grandchildren grow and be happy. He doted on his basset hound Molly and working in the yard. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and loved his Savior Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon. He wanted to serve a mission with his wife before he was called home.

Services for Mark will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Second Ward chapel at 400 S and 2200 W. Layton, Utah. Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery. Viewing is 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
