Mark Andrew Lassen

Mark Andrew Lassen, 72 years old, died on Friday March 8, 2024, at Brynwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello Florida.
Mark was born in Brookings, South Dakota on May 27, 1951. The son of Walter and Virginia Lassen. Mark spent a large portion of his life in Oak Ridge, Tennessee where he worked as a home health nurse. Prior to his nursing career he spent many years in construction and handyman work. An avid musician from his youth, Mark played in bands throughout his life and was never far from his beloved Martin guitar. He was also an accomplished harmonica player. Mark was a gentle giant, a selfless man and dedicated many of his years to caring for others. He loved to fish, laugh and spend time with his family.
Mark is survived by his brothers Erick Stephen Lassen of Big Water, Utah, James Edward Lassen of Bergen, Norway; his sister Ruth Ann Gage of Harriman, Tennessee; and his brother- in-law John Ciano of Aurora, Colorado. Mark is also survived by his three children from his marriage to Janice Lee Sundstrom - Aaron Andrew Sundstrom of Santa Rosa, Florida, Christopher Charles Sundstrom of Tallahassee, Florida and Marissa Kay Greaux of Santa Rosa, Florida; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, March 18, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3717 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
