Mr. Mark Thomas Morel, age 71, of McEwen, TN, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 21, 1953, in Nashville, TN, to Thomas Morel and Jo Ann Williams Vester. Mark was a member of the Christ Community Church in McEwen and was a lifetime member of the Humphreys County Humane Society. He always enjoyed being outside, especially hunting, and he loved to collect various antiques. Mark never met a stranger and would never forget a story.
Mark dedicated 34 years of his life to a career as a signal maintainer for CSX, where he was known for his unwavering commitment, technical expertise, and reliability. His contributions not only ensured the safety and efficiency of many journeys but also left a lasting impact on his colleagues, who will serve as his pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the Christ Community Church in McEwen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Christ Community Church in McEwen with Mark’s friends and family officiating the service.
Interment will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
