In the early morning hours of June 22, 2024, Mark Lamar Plopper, 72, of Green Bay, WI, left our world, fighting to the bitter end, with his dedicated wife, Pie beside him every step of the way. A man known as Papa to his grandchildren, Lamar to his wife and close friends, Mawk to his sister Susie, and Mark to most, his generosity, zest for life, charisma, sense of humor, and infectious laugh made us all want a part of him. He made bad times good, good times great, and set an enduring example of how to live life. No matter who you were, he left an indelible mark on our lives through his music, kindness, love, sense of humor, and business ventures. He will forever be remembered by the people that were fortunate enough to intersect with him on this journey called life.

Unfortunately, his life was cut short far too early and far too suddenly. Mere weeks into the discovery of advanced stages of cancer, that evil disease took a loving husband, incredible father, doting grandfather, proud great-grandfather, dear brother and uncle, admired musician, and fun-loving friend from us. The world, for us that knew him, will never be the same, a void that will not be filled. Strong and courageous to the end, enduring extreme pain and suffering without complaint, forever apologizing to his caregivers, he is now at peace.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Paul Plopper; Mother, Joan Plopper; and adopted brother Jim Williquette aka Big, and sister-in-law Francine Enright. He is survived by his wife Christine aka Pie; son Tracy Pierner aka Zig (LaVara); granddaughters Arianna Pierner aka Yaya, Camille Motlong aka Camilly (Jordan), Tianni Alter aka Flu-Flighter (Colten); great granddaughter Lila; sisters Mary Ness aka Guy (Jim aka Elliott), Susan Plopper aka Suey (Dave Campbell), and Sally Jourdan aka Todd; two nieces, four nephews, and their children, brother-in-laws Kenneth Piaskowski aka KC and Michael Piaskowski, plus many loved relatives and friends past and present.

He was an accomplished and respected producer, musician, and graduate of G.I.T, earning in his past, awards from WAMI (Floppy Disc & Short Stuff), even an EMMY for a musical score in a documentary with co-writer, John Croarkin. Please feel free to visit his website marklamar.com to take a listen and read his bio, as the family will keep it open in memory of this great man! His unique musical creations, along with the creations of others that he produced in his renowned Eyehole Digital Noiz Studio or the Made Ya Look Studio were inspirational to the music world and will not be forgotten. As a past Partner in Made Ya Look, he was honored for the opportunity to work with the Packer Organization on Game Days and at practice with their portable boom box invention, as he cherished our Packers so very much! His recent passion was playing with his beloved and extremely talented band members in his band Conscious Pilot...their talents could make any song like an original! No matter what you knew him asguitar player, producer, singer, songwriter, husband, son, father, Papa, brother, mentor, role model, band buddy, or friendto us all, he was simply Mark Lamar Plopper - the Man, the Myth, the Legend. Forever missed - forever loved.

His precious ashes will be put to rest with a gravesite tribute at 1:30pm on July 3, 2024 in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to their own favorite charity in Mark’s name.

 SPECIAL THANKS:

He adored and appreciated all his caregivers at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay and also in Grafton, as they went above and beyond their duties to take special care for him and his needs. On behalf of him, the family thanks all those kind and considerate Nurses and CNAs that made his last 2 months bearable and at times humorous.
