Mark Putnal, a loving son, brother, nephew, and uncle, passed away at the age of 57 on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Born in Tampa, FL, Mark spent most of his life in Mayo, FL, where he was a cherished member of the Brewer Lake Baptist Church community. Known for his stylish demeanor, Mark had a passion for music, particularly enjoying Garth Brooks and events like the Suwannee River Jam. A devoted fan of the Florida Gators Football team, he also dedicated his career to education, working as a teacher for the Lafayette County School System.
Mark is survived by his sister, Lisa Dortch and her husband Tim; his niece, Amanda Bryant and her husband Shawn; and his great-nieces and nephews, Caroliena Bryant, Max Bryant, Mayleigh Dortch, Tucker Dortch; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Spessard and Reba Putnal, and his nephew, John Dortch.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th at Brewer Lake Baptist Church at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am officiated by Mr. Ricky Lyons. Interment will take place at Day Cemetery. In honor of Mark, attendees are encouraged to dress casually and wear Gator colors.
