Mark Stephen Seagraves, a cherished father, husband, brother, and friend, passed away at his home in Taylors, SC, on August 2, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on September 25, 1964, in Jersey Shore, PA, Mark's life was a testament to his friendly nature, intelligence, and generosity that touched the lives of many.
Mark was the beloved son of Ronald Dean Seagraves and the late Melinda Anne Hoyle Beaudin. He grew up alongside his brother, Brian Edward Seagraves. Mark's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he was a devoted father to his children, Kayleigh Seagraves Bray (Talon), Cody Seagraves, and Lucy Seagraves of Bangkok, Thailand. His love and legacy continue through them. Mark's heart found its match in his wife, Hnanthanan Seagraves, with whom he shared a life full of love, laughter, and mutual respect.
A patriot at heart, Mark honorably served his country as an Army veteran before embarking on a career as an information technology tech. His expertise and dedication led him to work as a Department of Defense contractor in Afghanistan and Africa, where he contributed to the safety and efficiency of operations overseas. Mark's commitment to excellence continued upon his return to the United States, where he worked as an IT tech at Plasman in Greer, SC. His colleagues will remember him as a problem-solver who was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mark was an avid gardener with a particular passion for growing hot peppers. His garden was a place of solace and joy, where he spent countless hours nurturing his plants and sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and neighbors. Mark's love for gardening was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his nurturing spirit and his desire to cultivate beauty and warmth in the world around him.
Those who knew Mark will recall a man who was unfailingly friendly, a beacon of intelligence, and a wellspring of generosity. He approached life with a smile that could light up a room and a kindness that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Mark's legacy is one of love, service, and the countless lives he enriched through his presence.
As we bid farewell to Mark Stephen Seagraves, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories we share and the lives he touched.
