Mark Skillern Obituary
Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2026, 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2PM, with Bro. Greg Woodard officiating. Burial will be at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Mark loved his work family at CCI. He loved going on Cruise vacations with his wife where many wonderful memories were made and new lifelong friendships were bonded. He was an avid UT fan. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Hardy Skillern; infant brother, Christopher Skillern; grandparents, James Walton and Addie Laura Skillern and Oscar and Clara Murphy Hardy.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Marie Skillern; daughters, Baylee Skillern (Chris Nix) Caroline Scott (Craigan); grandchildren, Braxtyn, Lexie, and Cameron Nix, and Lawson and Lincoln Scott; brother, Eric Skillern (Steve Fulps); several cousins; and wonderful friends who will sorely miss him.
Pallbearers will be family, Roger Bacon, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

We lived and ran around together in the same neighborhood, our birthdays are 2 days apart so we went through school together and I consider myself so blessed to have had him for a friend. He was truly one of the good guys. Mark and Marie were a special couple and my heart hurts for her and their family. Love & Prayers
