Mark Wachter Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Mark Richard Wachter, age 46, passed away far too soon on July 27, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Lindstrom, Minnesota.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Arline Wachter and Jay and Shirley Sams; uncles Robert and Ronald Wachter, Jack and Rolly Sams; and father-in-law, James Miller.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Amy; his sons, Grant (18) and Andrew "AJ" (15); his parents, Rick and Marilynn Wachter; sister, Tina (Jason) McCarty; nephews, Evan, Noah, and Caleb McCarty; mother-in-law, Pat Miller; brother-in-law, Chris Miller; and nephew Gavin Luick; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mark was a passionate advocate for his community and the environment. As the current president of the Chisago-Lindstrom Lakes Association, he dedicated countless hours to preserving and improving the local lakes through water quality testing, shoreline restoration, boater safety initiatives, and clean-up efforts. The lake was truly Mark's happy place.
He also gave generously of his time as a youth hockey coach with the Chisago Lakes Hockey Association, proudly guiding Grant's and AJ's teams through many seasons with dedication and heart.
Mark had a natural talent for mechanics and could often be found working on cars, trucks, boats, jet skis, four-wheelers, and golf carts. His professional life was equally hands-on, with experience in landscaping, cement work, and home improvement.
Mark's legacy of kindness, service, and love for his family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
