Mark Damon White, born on December 7, 1959, in Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. Mark was a cherished member of his community, known for his unwavering support and dedication to those around him. As an In School Suspension Teacher at Harmony Grove and a prior Branch Manager at Birch Tree Communities, he made a significant impact on the lives of many, demonstrating his passion for education and mentorship.
Mark was a proud graduate of the Harmony Grove High School class of 1978. He carried with him a spirit of humor and a go-with-the-flow attitude, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. He was known as a fixer and doer, and his calm presence brought comfort to many, especially to children and those with special needs, whom he loved dearly.
A devoted family man, Mark was always present for his children, attending any sport or activity they participated in, showcasing his commitment to family and love for their endeavors. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy White, and their son, Kaleb White, as well as their daughter, Molly Reaper, and son-in-law, Josh Reaper. Mark was also a proud Papaw to Mark "Louie" Reaper and Benjamin "Benny" Reaper, and is survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Mark's passions extended beyond his work and family; he was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys, finding joy in watching and discussing sports. In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking, playing board games, and welcoming family and friends to gather around his table, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, James A. White and Carolyn "Mickey" White, his brother, Mike White, as well as his cherished dog, Tiana. His legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation to honor Mark will be held on December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Benton, located at 322 N Market Street, Benton, AR 72015. A memorial service will take place the following day, December 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location, offering an opportunity for friends and family to come together in remembrance of a truly wonderful man.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saline County Boys & Girls Club.
