Mark Wade Williams, 76, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Wade Williams.

He is survived by his beloved sisters, Vicki Williams Jaco and Lisa Williams Burke along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Also by his long time companion, Julie Reardon.

Mark was a graduate of Banks High School and shortly after, proudly joined the United States Army Band, where he played the clarinet in service to his country. Throughout his life, he pursued various careers, but found his greatest joy and fulfillment in carpentry and woodworking. Mark had a true gift for creating beautiful pieces with his hands.

To his family and all who knew him, Mark was a one-of-a-kind, free-spirited individual. He was mellow and calming, yet deeply considerate. Full of knowledge, he was always ready to share a fun fact or a bit of trivia, and was known for his ever-growing lists and his incredibly thoughtful, uniquely wrapped gifts. His deep love for the things that brought him joy and the people he held close was reflected in everything he did.

Mark was passionate, devoted, and deeply loved. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.

The family sends a special thank you to The Village at Cook Springs for the care Mark received. "The Lord was in this place."

Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
