Mark G. Wojnar, 75, residing in Milan, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Mark was born on February 16, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Stanley and Rose Frances (Pavlin) Wojnar Sr.
Mark graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton in electrical engineering. He retired from GTE/Verizon as a supervising engineer after many years of service. Mark was a member and attended mass at St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron and St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Milan. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, working his farm, hunting, fixing things, helping his brothers, sisters and immediate family with anything and everything. But most of all Mark loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Caroline (Stem) Wojnar, whom he married on April 28, 1973. He is also survived by his daughter, Michelle Wojnar (Mike) of Pittsburgh, PA; sons, Tim (Michele) Wojnar of Milan and Scott (Jessica) Wojnar of Milan; three grandchildren, Micaela, Nicholas and Kennedy; four sisters, Fran (George) Zeglen, Mary Jo (Bill) Primosch, Sr. Ann Wojnar and Jean Wyrzykowski; two brothers, Mike (Rose) Wojnar and Greg (Pam) Wojnar and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by two brothers, Stan Wojnar Jr. and John Wojnar.
Friends may call on Monday, July 21st, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory - Milan Chapel, 1 South Main St. Milan, Ohio. Friends may also call on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 145 S. Center St., Milan, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
