I want to express my deepest condolences to Marla's family and friends during this difficult time. Marla was a shining light in the lives of many people. She taught me valuable skills like how to wear makeup and dress stylishly. We shared wonderful experiences together including trips to sporting events and memorable cruises. I am truly grateful that I met her through Veronica Johnson-Seget and I will always cherish the memories we created together.

I want to express my deepest condolences to Tim's family and close friends during this difficult time. Marla has been a shining light in my life since 1982- Her warmth and kindness have always made a positive impact on those around her. My parents also valued her presence and the joy she brought into our lives. We will always remember her with love and gratitude.

Just remembering when we were young kiddies and the few times since then when we saw each other,...how beautiful, graceful, and poised you were, always. You carried yourself admirably and with a radiant smile. You were (and the whole family is) always in our thoughts and your memory will live on in our hearts and minds, forever. May God receive you as he did Mama, Momee, Toby, and all the others tucked away in our hearts. We will continue to do good so that we will see you all, again. Rozalina, (and on behalf of Pearlie Mae "MaDear" and Sparky)

One day Marla and I were about to teach combined classes and I became ill. She said, "I got your back." And she did, as she always would for anyone. I am heartbroken that the world has lost an angel such as her.
