BASILE~ With heavy hearts the family is announcing the passing of baby Marlee Cynthia McGehee on January 6, 2025, prematurely at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Private graveside services will be held at St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Clement officiating.
In loving memory of Marlee McGehee, whose time with us, though brief, was filled with love and joy that will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Marlee is lovingly remembered by her parents, Jake and Cami McGehee of Basile, and her siblings, Brooks Henley and Azalee Sylvia McGehee, who will carry her spirit them always.
Marlee was also cherished by her paternal grandparents, Jim and Angie McGehee of Basile, and her maternal grandparents, Shantelle and Richard Richard of Creole, whose love surrounded her from the very beginning. She leaves behind a treasured family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended relatives who will hold her memory close.
During this time of sorrow, the family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received. Marlee's light may have dimmed too soon, but her memory and the joy she brought to those around her will shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
