Marlene (Raber) Fortune, age 60, of Nashville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at Longenecker Fellowship, 2200 TR 606, Dundee, Ohio, with Pastor Jeff Bargerstock officiating. Burial will take place at the Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alexander Funeral Home to help defray costs.
Marlene was born May 26th, 1964, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Elmer and Shirley (Kandel) Raber. On April 3rd, 2010, she married Ernest Fortune, and he survives.
Marlene was a 1982 graduate of Hiland High School. She was a bookkeeper for various companies and was an on-line retailer. For most of her adult life, she supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She loved her dogs, Scooby and Aries and enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are three stepchildren: Christopher Fortune, Rebecca (Clifford) Hickman, and Matthew (Davilee) Fortune; one step grandson, Matthew Fortune II; her mother, Shirley Raber; a brother, Norman (Merry) Raber of St. Marys, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Perry) Morr of Atmore, Alabama; two brothers-in-law: Larry Fortune and Terry Rose; and a niece and nephew: Katie and Jacob Raber both of St. Marys, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Raber; in-laws, Harold and Mary Fortune; and two sisters-in-law: Pam Fortune and Donna Rose.
