Marlene Jones Obituary

Marlene was born on April 3, 1932, in Granville, NY, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Roberts) Jones.
Upon graduation from Poultney High School in 1949, she was employed by Rosenblatts in Poultney, where she worked until she became a caregiver to her aging parents.
Marlene loved nature, animals, and working in her flower gardens. She was creative, specializing in making dolls and stuffed animals. She was an avid reader of non-fiction, always eager to gain more knowledge. She was an extremely caring person who always put other and their need ahead of her own.
Marlene is survived her sisters Elaine Duffy of Wells and Evelyn Ritchie of Tinmouth.
She was predeceased by both parents, brother-in-law Tom Duffy and Larry Ritchie.
A special thanks to everyone at Our House for the care given to Marlene and thank you to VNA.
At Marlene's request, there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home.

My prayers are with you Elaine and Evelyn.
Marlene , Mary ,Agnes and I were great friends it started in high school and lasted a lifetime. We walked at lunch time to Lynches store most every lunch time from high school and had many good laughs I remember our time in home room with our teacher trying to making aprons, blouses and learning to cook. I remember stopping in Middletown when she lived with you Elaine, she showed me her gardens and we talked old times, and I told her about all of mine. Henry and I both enjoyed having her stop by at one of our parties years ago I still have the little coco cups that she gave us that day. God Bless you both! Arlene Perkins
