Marlene Meiner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 8, 2025.
Marlene Ann Meiner, 88, died April 3, 2025. Born July 15, 1936, in Nemacolin, PA, a daughter of Charles and Anna (Vrabel) Lepchinsky. Marlene married and lived in Prescott, Arizona from 1955-2023 and then lived with family in Chapin, S.C. for the last two years.

Marlene was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, AZ, where she played the organ for several years. She was a member of the Yavapai College Choir, and she and her husband, Jerry, were members of REACT club for several years.

She loved spending time with her family on holidays, and Christmas was always a special time for them to come together, creating everlasting memories.

Marlene's hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, crafting - knitting, crocheting, and sewing Christmas stockings and wreathes, as well as playing the piano, and theatre where she performed and sang in many musicals. She did enjoy camping trips, boating and skiing, and we all spent many vacations over the years on Lake Powell and Lake Alamo.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patty Meiner and Cheryl Chaussee, Chapin, SC; Jeff and Renee Meiner, Midland, TX; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Martha Morofsky, Canada.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Lepchinsky; her husband, Gerald Meiner; her three sons, David, Joe, Jerry; her grandson, Rusty; sister, Betty Brown; and her brother, Richard Lewis.

A committal ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on April 26, 2025, at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, AZ.

Memories and messages may be left on her tribute wall.

Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to serve the Meiner family.
