Marlene G. Pavlovic, a lifelong resident of Beacon, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024 at home. She was 83 years old.
Born on March 17, 1941 in Beacon, she was the daughter of the late Dr. J.L. Goodwin and Wilma Standish Goodwin. On August 13, 1961 at St. John the Evangelist Church, she married Gary Pavlovic who survives at home. Marlene had worked as a school teacher for the Beacon City School District for 17 years until her retirement in 1997. After retirement, she and Gary traveled the world many times.
In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by her daughters, Laurie Dyno of Water Mill, Kim Pavlovic of Newburgh and Victoria Pavlovic Stewart of Highland Mills; her son, Thomas Pavlovic of Madison, CT; her sister, Patricia D'Angelo of Beacon; her grandchildren, Austin Dyno, Tyler Dyno, Ashleigh Pavlovic, Liam Pavlovic, Lincoln Stewart, Hayden Pavlovic and Mitchell Stewart; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Thomas Goodwin and sister, Karen Shebanie.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Hilda for the amazing care and devotion she gave to Marlene this past year.
