Marlene Barbara Reichel, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the United Regional Health Care Hospital in Wichita Falls. This was the day before she and husband, Dan, had their 37th wedding anniversary. Her Memorial Services are planned at Texhoma Christian Care Center at 2:00pm on October 30, 2025, and at Cherry Hills Community Church in Denver, Colorado at 1:00pm on December 10, 2025. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Marlene's life. Memorials in Marlene's honor can be made in care of the Manna Building Fund at Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. Marlene was born on May 22, 1936, in Evanston, Illinois to Walter and Elizabeth (Olsen) Gibbs. She had no other siblings. She grew up in Peoria, Illinois, where she graduated from Woodruff High School in 1954. In 1956 she married Robert(Bob) Wolfe, her long-time, high school mate and moved to Indiana for his college education. Later, they moved to Denver for Bob's further schooling and started a family by having a son, Brian, and a daughter, Cheri. After his graduation, they moved to Wisconsin and finally to Montana, with his occupation as a social worker and Marlene's general office experience. Marlene worked for a trucking company and food service firm, as well as a few other short-term assignments. The children graduatedfrom high school in Montana and began their careers, with Brian in the US Army then as an electronics engineer in California, and Cheri in hotel and food services, then as a degreed accountant in that industry. Brian and wife, Thessa, now live in Wichita Falls, with a daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in San Diego, CA. Cheri lives in Billings, MT, and has two sons, a daughter-in-law and grandchildren there.

In 1985 Marlene and Bob divorced and she and Cheri moved to Denver, Colorado. There Marlene met Dan Reichel, and they were married on October 22. 1988. Dan was following his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant, and Marlene continued working in insurance and real estate offices. In 1994 Marlene retired as she began having severe back problems and later a knee surgery. In 2017 Dan fully retiredfrom accounting and they had enjoyed living in a retirement community before moving to Wichita Falls in 2023. Marlene moved into Texhoma Christian Care Center in September 2024, following a hip operation and mobility issues. She enjoyed her stay there with the friendly staff and residents and formedseveral close relationships.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Dan, son Brian (Thessa) Wolfe of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter Cheri Baker of Billings, MT; step-daughter Susan Hogarth of Aurora, Colorado; step-son Charles (Trish) Reichel of La Verne, CA; grandchildren: Christy (Daisuke) Beppu, Jesse (Lia) Wheeler, Alex Baker, Logan Reichel, Kaden Reichel, Jake Hogarth, numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husbandBob, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Richard, Marion Libsack and Shirley Fegler.

The family would like to thank the staff at Texhoma Christian Care Center for all the wonderful care and love shown to our beloved Mar.

Marlene has touched my heart. I enjoyed taking care of Marlene. She was like family to me. Dan I'm so so sorry for your loss. Words can not express enough how it pains me and for you and your family. God Bless you and your family for healing hearts. Y'all will always be in my heart and prayers. I am gonna miss Marlene and also seeing you Dan you have felt like family being there every day.
