Marlene Rose Rens (Suda), age 90 of Waupun, Wisconsin passed away early Sunday morning February 1st, 2026 at her nursing home in Randolph, WI.

Marlene was born on July 30, 1935 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Bob and Eleanor (Runke) Suda. She spent her early life in the Oshkosh area and married Fred Rens of Waupun on May 26, 1962. She eventually lived in Sturgeon Bay for several years before settling in Waupun with her family for the last 50 years of her life. She was an avid birder and loved her vegetable and flower gardens. She was known to have a multitude of bird feeders stocked year round with favorite seeds and treats for many species of bird visitors. She also enjoyed attending the First Reformed Church of Waupun and was very involved with several women’s and service groups there. She loved traveling with family and friends and had wonderful trips to Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, several national parks, an African safari in Kenya and a trip down the Amazon River in Peru. She was extremely active in the daily lives of her three children, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and will be dearly missed by them all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Steve Suda; her brother-in-law Ben Rens; her sister-in-law Delores Rens, and many other beloved family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Dan (Dawn) Rens of Waupun, Diane (Chris) Moreno of Bartlett, IL and Mary Cross of Waupun; eight grandchildren Tyler Cross, Tim (Samantha) Cross, Alex Moreno, Gracie Moreno, Rachel Moreno, Tommy Moreno, Haley Rens and Emily Rens; one brother Bill Suda; two sisters-in-law Sharon Suda and Linda Suda Braun; three great grandchildren Clay Cross, Owenn Cross and Kylie Cross; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Marlene will be held at the First Reformed Church, 422 W. Franklin St., Waupun, WI on Wednesday, February 4th beginning with a short visitation at 10:30am, a service at 11:30am and a luncheon immediately following. Marlene will be laid to rest next to her husband at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
