Marlene's life was grounded in her love for her family and her community. After exchanging vows with her beloved husband, Milton Truesdale, on November 26, 1954, having been married 58 years they built a beautiful life together in Durand, Illinois, a fond place they called home and then retired to Wesley Willows in Rockford, IL. Her dedication was not limited to her family; she was a devoted worker, spending 35 years at Amerock in manufacturing assembly. In her leisure time, Marlene was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, cheerfully rooting for the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. As an active member of the Durand United Methodist Church, she touched many lives with her spirited presence and compassionate heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; her parents, Byron and Edna McCauley; her great-grandson, Gideon Goodson; and her siblings, Nellie Parsons, Granville McCauley, Letha Henderson, Melvin McCauley, Katie Crouch, and Vic McCauley.

Sending sincere sympathies on the passing of Marlene. My Mother, Leah Hubley, worked along side Marlene for many years at Amerock. They were workmates and lifelong friends. So sad to hear of her passing.
