Vicki Rae Hamilton, age 85, born on October 25, 1939, in Rockford, IL peacefully passed away and she was sent to her eternal home on February 28, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Broge and Floyd Barton. Memo, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and more whose lives were touched by her. Those who knew Vicki will remember her for her infectious smile, laughter and her unwavering commitment to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a gift for making others smile, laugh and offering her encouraging support. We ask that you remember her for the way her life was lived and the impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we were to have had so much time with her. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love in all that we do. Vicki is cherished, loved and remembered by closest surviving children including Doug, Bill and Kalli (Wade). Memo will be dearly missed by her closest surviving grandchildren including Melissa, Michael, Nate, Matthew, Kyle, Alisha, Danielle and Mikaela. She also leaves many great grandchildren, other family members and friends who will miss her. Predeceased by her mother Mary Broge, father Floyd Barton, step father Frank Broge, partner Keith Kinsman and her youngest son Daniel Hamilton. Per Vicki's wishes no services to be held though she wishes everyone to celebrate her and her memory. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. McCorkle Funeral Home – Durand Chapel assisted the family.
