Marlene Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home - Grand Prairie on Dec. 10, 2025.
Marlene Colette Williams, was born on July 14, 1944, in Seattle, WA and passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 81. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, known for her boundless kindness, nurturing spirit, and unwavering strength.

Marlene is survived by her son, Christopher Williams, and his wife Ann; her grandchildren, Jake Williams (and his fiancée Jennifer), Madilynn Williams, Regan Anderson Umer, Evan McCurdy; and her great-granddaughter, Sephirah Umer.

A woman of great talent and warmth, Marlene was passionate about the crafts that brought joy and comfort to those around her. Whether she was quilting, crocheting, sewing, or painting, her hands were always busy creating something beautiful. Her love for family was felt deeply through her cooking, especially her signature lasagna and macaroni salad, dishes that will forever be cherished at family gatherings. Marlene was also known for her incredible generosity, particularly at Christmas time, where she delighted in handing out carefully chosen gifts, always with the thoughtfulness that defined her spirit.

Marlene's role as a mother was her greatest pride. She was a devoted and supportive mom who coached her son's team and was always there to lend an ear or offer guidance. As a mother-in-law, she was nothing short of wonderful-kind, patient, and loving.

In her professional life, Marlene worked for Union Pacific and retired from their payroll department after many years of dedicated service. Her work ethic and commitment to those she served were always evident.

A woman of Italian heritage, Marlene's heart was as full as her kitchen, where the smells of hearty meals and family traditions filled the air, especially her famous lasagna and macaroni salad. She was a woman of grace, with a beautiful soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in her family, who will forever remember her as a great mother, a loving grandmother, and a wonderful person. She will be missed deeply but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held to honor Marlene's life and memory on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050.

Rest in peace, Marlene. You will forever be loved.
