Marsha L. Blyth

Marsha L. Blyth passed away at her home, Woodlands of Liberty I, on December 12, 2025, at the age of 74 after a six-month battle with a Glioblastoma brain tumor. The second daughter of John and Mary Blyth, she is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Peg (Charlie) Kochy, Janice (Jeff) Blackwood, Judy (Page) Schrock, and Melissa (Craig Guappone) Blyth, along with one niece, nine nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Marsha was a 1970 graduate of Wadsworth High School. After high school she pursed a career in nursing, originally obtaining her LPN diploma from the Akron School of Practical Nursing in 1974 and working at Barberton Citizen's Hospital. In 1986, Marsha graduated from The University of Akron with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her life, Marsha worked for Society for the Handicapped, Heart to Heart Home Healthcare, and various other private duty nursing positions. Marsha was a born caregiver and nursing brought her much joy.

Continuing the theme of caregiving, Marsha loved cats and adopted two rescue kittens and fostered kittens through One of A Kind Pets.

Marsha was a lifelong, active member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth. She was a regular delegate to the Synod annual meetings, a member of Consistory, sang in the choir, and played in the bell choir. Marsha studied and received her Partners in Ministry Certificate through UCC.

A green burial has already taken place at Woodlawn Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church of Christ, 215 High Street, Wadsworth, Ohio with Pastor Adam Marquette officiating. The family will receive visitors in the church library prior to the service from noon to 2:00 pm. Light refreshments to follow the service.
