Marsha Anne Creutz April 1, 1956 – February 21, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marsha Anne Creutz, who died peacefully on February 21, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on April 1, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, to Thomas Sr. and Lucille Elchert, Marsha was a loving mother, devoted grandmother (Nana), loyal sister, and cherished friend to many. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Miller (Elijah), son Jacob Miller, sister Amy Nearhood (Richard), nephews, and grandchildren Alexander (14), Jackson (11), and Norah (9). She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Elchert Jr. and her parents, Thomas Sr. and Lucille Elchert.
Marsha embraced life to the fullest. She never missed an opportunity to go on adventures, catch up with friends, visit her grandchildren, or provide loving support to those around her. She was known for her infectious laugh, radiant smile, sense of humor, and optimistic attitude. Marsha was an avid walker who enjoyed her daily walks around her neighborhood in Temperance, Michigan.
Marsha’s career as a dental hygienist brought her much joy. A graduate of Ferris State University, she not only had a successful career but also formed lifelong friendships with many of her dental patients. She was deeply respected by her colleagues.
Marsha also shared a special bond with her sister, Amy. They often spent time together, visiting friends, shopping, and relaxing at the local Moose Lodge.
Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Nana or Nana Banana, and they have countless cherished memories of their time together—whether it was hosting her famous Easter egg hunts, taking yearly trips to Waldenwoods in Howell, Michigan, or exploring Florida’s Gulf Coast beaches and parks. Nana was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader in all their endeavors, always eager to celebrate their sporting achievements, academic successes, and personal milestones. She was proud of them beyond measure and loved to brag about them to everyone.
A celebration of life to honor Marsha will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Sylvania Moose Lodge, 6072 Main St., Sylvania, OH 43560.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Marsha’s memory.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their support during this difficult time.
