Marsha Hulin Gassen, 75, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas with her loving family at her side.
Marsha was born on July 20, 1948, in Erath, Louisiana to Dora Mae Granger Hulin and Lester J. Hulin. She was a retired day care provider for thirty-five years in Port Neches. Marsha was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches where she participant in the ACTS Team, Altar Society and Ladies Guild. She was a member of the Sewing Club, Bunco Group, Pokeno Group. She loved arts and crafts and sewing for the grandchildren. Marsha loved to paint seascapes and murals on the wall.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Gerald Gassen of Port Neches; sons, Dennis Gassen and his wife Natalie of Pearland, Mark Gassen and his wife Amy of Groves and Karl Gassen and his wife Sarah of Bridge City; daughter, Anna Smith and her husband Scott of Nederland; brother-in-law, Phillip Losack of Groves; grandchildren, Lauren and Alexis Gassen, Ava Gassen, Kade Gassen, Carter Gassen, Marquise and Martial Gassen.
Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dora Hulin and her sister, Katie Losack.
A gathering of Family and Friends with take place from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with a Scriptural Rosary to be recited by the Port Neches Knights of Columbus at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland.
