Our sweet mother Marsha Luke Morrison passed away at the age of 77 due to complications with her heart at St. Marry Hospital in Apple Valley California on Monday May 19, 2025.Marsha was born on April 12, 1948, in Heber City, Utah, to Otto Burnell Luke and Nola Smith Luke. She lived in Daniel, Utah, where she loved growing up surrounded by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Many of whom lived down the street. These early years were filled with family, laughter, and love. The memories shared remained treasures throughout her life.
Marsha graduated from Wasatch High School in 1966. Following high school she moved to Salt Lake City, where she began working at Sweets Candy Company. It was there that a friend introduced her to the love of her life, Thomas "Tom" Morrison.
Marsha & Tom were married for time and all eternity on October 10, 1969, in the Salt Lake Temple. The couple began their life together in Salt Lake City, where they welcomed their first two daughters, Lori and Wendy.
In the fall of 1976, Marsha and Tom moved their young family to La Verne, California. They lived there for a couple of months. They then moved to Claremont, California where their family continued to grow with the birth of their third daughter Theresa, and their son, Michael. In 1989, the family made their final move to Hesperia, California, where they built a loving home and lasting memories.
Marsha found great joy in being a stay-at-home mom. Making rocky road candys with her daughters Lori and Theresa, going to the movies, going yard selling, and being with her family.
Marsha is survived by her three children: Lori, Theresa, and Michael; her brother Lynn (Linda) Luke, her sisters-in-law Darlene Luke and Lynn (Ken) Hinhild, her brothers-in-law, Maurice Emerson, Mitch Morrison, and Richard (Margret) Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and their daughter Wendy. Her parents, Burnell and Nola Luke, her brother Glade Luke, sister Karen Emerson, nephew Kevin Luke, father and mother-in-law Sear and Marie Morrison, sister-in-law Gayle and her husband Dale Olpin.
Marsha will always be remembered for the deep love she had for her family, especially her husband and four children. Her warm smile, big hugs and selfless love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A joint viewing for both Marsha and Tom will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1365 E Center St, Heber City, UT, on Friday May 30th, 2025. The viewing will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by a family prayer.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service and dedication to follow. A zoom link will be added for those who may not be able to attend the funeral.
A luncheon for family and loved ones will be held after the graveside service. All are welcome to join, share memories, and celebrate the lives and legacy of Marsha and Tom.
