Marsha Schneider (née Foster), a beacon of kindness and warmth, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born on May 5, 1953, in Port Huron, Michigan, Marsha was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (McPherson) Foster. Her life was a testament to love, laughter, and the pursuit of knowledge, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marsha's journey through life was marked by an unwavering devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of Jack Schneider, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage filled with mutual support and endless affection. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Scott (Sheyna) Schneider of Port Huron and Jacquelyn Schneider of Fort Gratiot. Marsha's joy was multiplied with the birth of her granddaughter, Katelynn, who became the light.
Her siblings, Robert Foster of Port Huron and Brenda (Dale) Barnum of Clyde Township, will fondly remember Marsha's humor and intelligence. She also leaves behind a close-knit family of brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Sondra) Schneider of Battle Creek, Lenni Schneider of Marysville, Alan (Mary Ellen) Schneider of Clyde Township, and Steven (Marybeth) Schneider of Marysville. Her numerous nieces and nephews will carry with them the many happy memories of their aunt.
Marsha's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, ready to explore. She enjoyed games especially Yahtzee. As a dedicated wife, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing every moment spent with her husband and family. Marsha was also enjoyed sports, often watching tennis and in past years hockey.
Those who knew Marsha will remember her as the epitome of kindness. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she had a remarkable ability to find levity in any situation. Her intelligence was evident not only in her love for reading and learning but also in her thoughtful conversations and insightful observations.
There are no public services scheduled for Marsha. Cremation arrangments were entrusted to Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074.
