Marshall Sheriff “Buck” Buchanan, 81, of Central, husband to Phyllis Buchanan, passed away July 26, 2023.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Willie Marshall Buchanan and Agnes Sheriff Buchanan. Marshall graduated from Seneca High School and went to work for Duke Energy as an Electrical Technician. After a thirty-four year career with Duke Energy, Mr. Buchanan retired and continued his work as a local electrician. He obtained his Master Electrician certificate, which he was extremely proud of and was a respected electrician to the members of his community. Marshall was a member of East Clemson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Carver Buchanan; son, Marshall Chad Buchanan and wife Kim of Augusta, GA; sister, Millie Nicholson and husband Gene of Seneca; nephews, Harry Nicholson and wife Melinda and Jeff Nicholson and wife Rene.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at East Clemson Baptist Church. Burial will be private.
Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the Buchanan family.

Dearest Chad , I´m so sorry for the lost of your father. This is a sad time and memories of your family life will help you through these hard, days ahead. Let Kim help you. She understands what you are going through. Your mom will need some extra hugs and love from her son.
