Robert Marshall Giles Sr, age 72 of Trenton, GA died Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services are Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 3 PM ET at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Sister Wendy Clarity officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Gap Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 PM ET and 1 PM ET until service time on Saturday.
Marshall was born August 18, 1952 in Chattanooga, TN to parents John Simpson and Lois Levina Belcher Giles. He grew up with twenty-two brothers and sisters. He was a Iron Worker with Local 704 for a over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include wife of 54 years, Julie Diane Jackson Giles, children, Shirley Releford(William), Lynn Weathers(Timmy), Robby Giles(Daisy), grandchildren, Ashley Murphy(John), Jherica Venable(Blake), Hunter Weathers(Hannah), Hope Ciganek(Anthony), Alley Sims(John), Halle Giles, great-grandchildren, Michael, Zoey, Marley, Carley, Grayson, Jason, Harper, Maxwell, sisters, Sue Williams, Benita Young, Marie Jackson, Jennifer Graham(John), Geraldine "Tuddie" Chambers, brothers, Henry Giles(Diane), Gary Giles(Karen), brother-in-law, Gary West, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Giles was preceded in death by his parents along with fourteen additional siblings.
