Marshall Blake Simmons, age 85, of Owings Mills, Maryland passed away on November 22, 2024.
Born September 16, 1939 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence Edward and Margaret Virginia (nee Summers) Simmons and the devoted husband of 56 years of the late Mary Jo Simmons.
Marshall is survived by his loving second wife Karen Elaine (nee Keplinger) Simmons, and loving sons Brian Simmons of Elkton, MD and Scott Simmons of Elkton, MD. Dear brother of Carolyn Homan (Paul) of Clarksburg, WV, Lauren Copeland of Emoryville, WV and Roger Simmons (Pat) of Mt. Storm, WV. Extended family Michael and James Harvey of Baltimore, MD. Loving grandfather of Michael, Amanda and Michelle. Loving great grandfather of James, Maverick, Peyton, Colson and Landyn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marshall proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict.
Some of Marshall's interests included hunting, gardening, wine making, cutting trees and generally helping out others. He loved spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, (2-4 pm) and (6-8 pm) at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at noon from Eline Funeral Home. Entombment will follow services at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048.
