Marta E. Soto de Garcia, age 74, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A funeral service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at Templo La Hermosa, 1411 14th Avenue, Scottsbluff, with Pastor Javier Parra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the church. Memorials may be made in care of the Jose Angel Garcia family. The service will be live-streamed and recorded on Marta’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Marta was born March 3, 1951, in Urquizo, Coahuila, Mexico to Enrique Soto Carcamo and Guadalupe Felipe Avalos. She attended high school before entering cosmetology studies.

Marta married Jose Angel Garcia on June 6, 1970. Together they welcomed six sons. The family came to the US in 1989 and resided in California a short time before relocating to Nebraska, where they made their home in 1990.

Marta was employed as a nurse while residing in Mexico. She later began a career in housekeeping, which she continued until her retirement.

Marta was a dedicated member of her family's church, Templo La Hermosa. She cherished attending church events, gatherings, and regular services, finding joy in worshiping the Lord. In addition to her faithfulness to the church, Marta found happiness in spending time with family, tending to her garden, and traveling, especially to visit family in Mexico. She adored her grandchildren and had a passion for interior design. As a devoted housewife and loving mother, she created a warm and inviting home for her loved ones.

Survivors include her husband, Jose Angel Garcia of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; sons, Jorge (Maribel) Garcia of Coahuila, Mexico, Carlos Garcia of Scottsbluff, Guillermo (Esthela) Peralta Garcia of Aguascalientes, Mexico, daughter-in-law, Debbie Garcia of Gering, Nebraska, and Roberto (Veronica) Garcia of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Marta was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents; as well as her sons, Miguel Angel Garcia and Pablo Cesar Garcia.

Marta E. Soto de García, de 74 años, de Scottsbluff, Nebraska, murió el sábado 1 de noviembre de 2025 en el Centro Médico Regional West en Scottsbluff. Se llevará a cabo un servicio fúnebre de 11 a.m. a 1 p.m., el viernes 7 de noviembre de 2025, en el Templo La Hermosa, 1411 14th Avenue, Scottsbluff, con el pastor Javier Parra oficiando. Marta fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres; y abuelos; así como sus hijos, Miguel Ángel García y Pablo César García.
