Mrs. Martha Giler Angelette , 58 years old of Ponchatoula, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011, at her residence. She was born on Sunday, March 15, 1953, in New Orleans, daughter of the late Charles R. and Mathilde Develle Giler. Mrs. Angelette attended Cabrini High School and L.S.U.N.O. and was a longtime employee of Hibernia National Bank of New Orleans. She was a former C.A.S.A. volunteer and was currently employed as the Grants & Contracts Manager for Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault in Hammond. Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Claude J. Angelette Jr., son & daughter-in-law, Scott and Angela D. Angelette, son & daughter-in-law, Jason and Elise C. Angelette, daughter, Mindy Angelette and her fiancé John Duke, grandchildren, Jade Cooper, Isabella, Sophia, Jude, and Naomi Angelette, brother & sister-in-law, John and Joell Giler, brother & sister-in-law, Paul and Kathy Giler. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. officiating. A private interment will follow the services at St Louis #3 Cemetery in New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation in Martha's honor to the American Heart Association: Thank you for your kindness and support.
