Martha Rae (Lindenau) Bosma left this earth on August 31, 2025.
Martha was born to Darlene and William Lindenau Sr. on December 8, 1946, where she was the middle child between Diane and William Jr. They grew up on the former Stearns Estate where Martha had many fond memories of playing along Lake MI with her siblings.
Martha graduated from LHS in 1964 and decided after some exploration outside of the area to come back to Mason County to raise her daughter, Jodie, as a single parent. Martha worked 2-3 jobs to make this happen and was a dedicated mother, but where she shone was as a grandmother. Martha was the best grandmother and loved her grandchildren more than anything!
Martha was a friend to all who knew her and if you had the opportunity to chat with her, you would be treated to her special sarcasm and wit. Her lifelong friend, Ann Fortin, was her friend for over 50 years.
Prior to Martha moving to Oakview, where they were phenomenal caregivers and we were so blessed by the staff, one of her favorite things was having her nieces Julia, Stacy, and Nicole bring the great nephews over for a visit. She would talk about that for days and it would bring her such joy.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Jodie Phillips (Lindenau); her granddaughters, Dallas Lindenau and Sawyer Phillips; and her special son Kevin Bosma. Martha is also survived by her sister Diane Lee; and many nieces, a nephew, and many great nephews and nieces.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, William Jr. and Debbie Lindenau, her brother-in-law, and her grandson, Shane Phillip – may they be lovingly reunited.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Funeral Home and Cremation Services (formerly Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington). www.GraceCremations.com
