It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Dean Boyce, who left this world peacefully on September 28, 2025. Martha was born to the late William Grover Dean and the late Leila Cook Dean.

Martha spent over 40 years of her life as a devoted employee of Carroll County where she served as the director of the Carroll County Emergency Shelter. She was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. As an avid reader you could always find Martha with a good book in hand.

Martha is survived by daughter and son-n-law: Pamela and David Wimpee; grandchildren: Ali Wimpee and Lauren Wimpee; great-grandchild: Ava Nixon; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brother: Curtis Dean; and sisters: Margaret Woodward and Jeanette Folds.

A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Martha's life on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Martin and Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Battles officiating.

The family will receive friends at Martin and Hightower Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.

Messages of love and condolences may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to care for the Boyce family during this time.
