Martha Eva Touchstone Cusic, 79, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky. Martha was born on December 13, 1943 to Sibyl Christine Sessions and Huey Touchstone in Meridian, Mississippi. She worked in the automotive industry and was an amazing homemaker, mother and grandmother. Martha could have been known as the OG (original gangster) of the term "FOODIE" as she loved to cook and eat! She poured through recipes and cookbooks looking for her next delicious culinary concoction!!! She had the gift of hospitality and loved sharing her home and latest food creation with others. Martha enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of Man O War Church of God. She also loved to read novels and poetry and found joy in the small things. She loved animals, especially dogs and her dog Baxter. She always had a smile and kind word for others and her giggle was infectious. Family was very important to Martha and she had so much pride in her children and grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents. Martha is survived by her two children, Lori (Mark) Wainscott of Frankfort and William E. Cusic Jr., (Susan) of Lexington; sisters, Patricia Toups of Atlanta, GA and Betty (Larry) Houck of Elk Grove, CA; grandchildren, Mallory Cusic, Cameron Wainscott, Erika (Eddie) Morales, Scott (Mikayla) Wainscott, Chloe (Ryan) Goff, Bobby Wainscott, Carrington Wainscott, Joey Cusic, Kota Wainscott, Tylen Wainscott, Mya Wainscott, Eli Wainscott, and Zay Wainscott; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Luca Morales; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10am until 12pm at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort. A graveside service and burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 12 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023 with Dr. Joe Girdler to officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Cameron, Scott, Bobby, Joey, Ryan, and Eddie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kota and Ty.

Lori and Bill I am so very sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and your families. I got to come to your house when I was young with Grandma and Grandad Cusic. I remember eating GOOD!!! Aunt Martha fattened me up!!!! Never forgot that visit.
