Martha DeJarnett Obituary
Martha Elizabeth "Betty" DeJarnett, 94, of Princeton passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at The Waters of Princeton. She was born January 26, 1930 in Winslow to Lloyd and Nellie (Morton) Bonenberger.
Martha had lived in Princeton for the past nine years, moving here from Oakland City, and growing up in Winslow. Her life was centered around her Lord and her family. She had been a member of the Oak Grove Church in Oakland City and did some missionary work with the church. Martha liked to sew, making clothes, and she loved dachshund dogs, especially her dog Charlie Brown.
Martha married Paul Trayler and was blessed with four children; Robert Trayler, Kristen Trayler, Marabeth (Trayler) Hazel, and David Trayler. Later she married Rudolph DeJarnett and they had Lisa (DeJarnett) Harvey. She is also survived by a brother, Larry Bonenberger; 6 grandchildren, Heather Pickard, Andi Wolcott, Misty McDowell, Aaron Trayler, Lindsey Hartley and Joshua Harvey; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rudolph; siblings, Barbara Hamm, Billie Tuttle, and JoAnn Brewster.
A funeral service to celebrate Martha's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery near Glezen. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.
