A memorial graveside service for Martha Delay, age 56, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
Martha passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at OU Medical Center, in Oklahoma City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.
She was born December 12, 1968, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Luis and Lorenza (Carnero) Martínez. She grew up in Frederick, Oklahoma but resided in Grandfield, Oklahoma. She was widowed to Robert Delay. She enjoyed listening to music, playing games on her phone, and mostly enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.
Martha was a loving and caring mother. She was always there for her children and grandchildren. She would do anything for the ones that she loved. At times she was shy but once she got comfortable she had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her children: two sons Arthur Martinez of Elk City and Christopher Martinez of Lawton, Oklahoma and three daughters: April Hernandez of Altus, Oklahoma, Abigail Guerrero of Grandfield, Oklahoma, and Lola Sanchez of Wichita Falls, Tx and fourteen grandchildren Mvhayv Dinwiddie, Diamond Arreguín, Xavier Martinez, Gage Martinez, Dante Martinez, Jordan Nuncio, Cameron Perez Jr., Elias Perez, Tori Arreguín, Maya Arreguín, Armando Guerrero, Ivan Guerrero, Adriel Guerrero, and Edith Garcia. Two brothers: Luis Martinez Jr. of Hammsville, Oklahoma and Jimmy Martinez of Elk City, Oklahoma and five sisters Carmen Munoz of Wichita Falls, Tx, Clara Garza of Burkburnett, Tx, Librada Martinez of Fort Worth, Tx, Joann Alvarado of Dill City, Oklahoma, and Margaret Martinez of Frederick, Oklahoma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Angel Martinez, Arthur Martinez, Luisa Martinez, Mary Lou Badillo, Juanita Martinez , and Anita Rocha; two nephews: Luis Filbano Torres and Cody Chapa.
