Memorial services for Mrs. Martha "Marty" Derusha will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 11:30 PM in the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the funeral home prior to services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Martha E. Moore Derusha, age 66, of Toomsuba, MS and previously of Brooksville, MS, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, June 15, 2025, at her home.
Marty was a 1976 graduate of Central Academy in Macon, MS.
Marty worked for over fifteen years at the NAS Meridian commissary.
She was an avid voracious reader. She was very loving and thoughtful, always giving people "happy's" to brighten up their day.
Marty is survived by her husband Eugene Derusha; children, Keely Williams, Joe Derusha (Jessy), Kristi Shelton (Steven), Emmie Derusha, and Alex Derusha (Brooke); grandchildren, Jude Taylor, Keanna Skaggs, Joseph Skaggs, Zamir Reed, Jordan Reed, Kori Shelton, Kole Shelton, Ryker Derusha, and many adopted "children" throughout her life, several great-grandchildren; siblings, William B. Moore Jr. (Sarah) and Esther Moore Howard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William B. Moore Sr. and Henrietta Stribling Moore; grandson, Andrew Lowery; sister, Linda Card Douglas, and Jimmie Ruth Combs McBride.
