Martha Lee Dunn, age 76 passed away peacefully at her residence in Ball Ground, GA, on June 12, 2025. Born on July 31, 1948, in Jasper, GA, Martha's life was characterized by her unwavering kindness, infectiously humorous spirit, and unmistakable honesty.
Martha was a longtime member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Known for her zest for life, Martha enjoyed traveling, the simple pleasure of shopping and all things sparkly.
She was an excellent caregiver who touched the hearts and lives of many around her. Her innate ability to nurture and comfort those in need was a gift that she bestowed selflessly. Her wonderful sense of humor was one of her most treasured characteristics. Her "Marthaisms," a delightful collection of witticisms and observations, brought laughter and lightness to any situation. Martha was a treasure to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished and celebrated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Dunn; father, Charles Crowe; mother, Flora May Ingram; and sister, Charlene Goss.
Martha is survived by her children, Philip Dunn (Samantha), Marc Dunn (Tanya) and Jennifer Dunn; grandchildren, Kaitlin Dunn and Melinda Barnes (Jacob); twin sister, Mary Pierce; brother, Tim O'Bryant (Vicki); special niece, Amanda Prather; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Bethesda Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Sunday, June 15th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Dunn will lie-in-state at Bethesda Baptist Church on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service.
