Martha was born on June 27, 1951 in Niles, Michigan to the late Harold Leroy Koontz and Donice Ruth (Rheay) Koontz.
Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Gary Kosier.
Left to cherish the memory of Martha is her sister, Darold Kosier and nephews, Craig (Jeanne) Exum and Gary (Sara) Exum.
A true animal lover, Martha had a special place in her heart for cats. She found joy in the company of her feline friends, caring for them with a gentle and nurturing spirit. She enjoyed watching and attending auto racing events as well as photography.
Martha's compassion extended beyond her pets. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant, working in a long-term care facility, where she took great pride in providing exceptional care to her residents. She touched each person she met with her caring nature.
Martha will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Memorial contributions in honor of Martha may be made out to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan, 5400 S Niles Rd. St. Joseph, MI 49085 or Gentiva Hospice, 1911 W Centre Ave #1, Portage, MI 49024.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Next door neighbor for many years. Baby sitter for my two younger brothers. A lot good memories. RIP Martha. Say hi to your Mom, Dad, and Gary.
