Martha King Obituary

Martha Sue King, a beloved member of the community, bid farewell to this world on June 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished. She was born on October 18, 1939, in Ashland City, TN, to the late Sam Henry Adcox and Annie Lou Oliver Adcox and peacefully passed away in Goodlettsville, TN.

Sue's career as an accountant at H G Hills was not just a job but a testament to her dedication and commitment. Her attention to detail and work ethic left a lasting impact on all those she encountered during her professional journey.

Beyond her career, Sue's true passion lay in music and hymnals. One of her fondest memories was signing hymnals alongside her granddaughter Shasta, creating beautiful melodies that filled the hearts of those around them.

Known for her loving and generous nature, Sue was a beacon of light to everyone she met. Her faith in the Lord shone through in all aspects of her life, touching the lives of many with her warmth and compassion.

In her free time, Sue found solace in simple pleasures like cooking, tending to her garden and flowers, and ensuring her yard was always a sight to behold. These hobbies were a reflection of her nurturing spirit and love for creating beauty in the world.

Sue is survived by her sons Ronnie & Jill (Fisher) Perry and Lee & Donna (Greer) King, grandchildren Shasta & Don Budzynski, Renea & Mitch Corlett, Trace & Audrey (Anderson) Perry, Dusty & Elizabeth (Sinor) King and Colby King; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Audrey, and Rileigh Budzynski, Lauren Dennis, Taylor, Joseph, and Caleb Perry. She is also survived by sisters Faye Perry and Teresa (Gene) Perry; sister-in-law Judy Bracey. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Sam Henry & Anna Lou Adcox; brother Larry Bracey; and sister Melba Dean Adcox.

Services to celebrate Sue's life will be held at the Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, TN. Visitation will take place on June 13th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on June 14th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow at 1:00 PM on June 14th at the same location before proceeding to Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Ashland City for burial at 2:30 PM.

Sue King's presence will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing such a remarkable soul. May she rest in eternal peace.
