Martha Krauter

Martha Krauter (nee Wernicki) aged 97, of Allendale, NJ, affectionately known as Marty, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 17th, 2024. She was born in Dunellen, NJ, raised in Jersey City, and she lived in Allendale, NJ for the last 63 years. Martha will be remembered for her sense of style, her welcoming home, and the delicious meals she made for her family. She is survived by her loving daughters Kathleen Ryan and her husband Michael of Middletown, Rhode Island; Nancy Bell and her husband Arthur of Lawrenceville, NJ; and Jeannie Ryan and her husband Steve of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: Julia Ryan, Kristen Gray and her husband Matt, Caroline Ryan, Ellie Ryan, and her great-grandchild, Charlie Gray. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas (2018). The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22nd from 9:30am - 10:30 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home at 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00am at the Church of the Guardian Angel R.C., 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. will follow the mass.
